The meeting of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-formed committee on the World Cup in India ended, Geo News reported. 

The meeting was led by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and was attended by Marriyum Aurangzeb - Information Minister, Qamar Zaman Qaira - Adviser to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs, and Hina Rabbani Khar - Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. 

The Inter-Provincial Coordination minister, the adviser on Establishment, PSPM and representatives of secret agencies and sensitive departments, representatives of the Foreign Secretariat's Asia Desk were also present during the meeting. A briefing on Pakistan's participation in the World Cup was given during the meeting. 

Zaka Ashraf, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee chairman, also shared his opinion on the participation of the Pakistan team in the mega event. 

According to the sources, it was decided in the meeting that a security delegation is likely to visit India in the third week of August. In this regard, Pakistani authorities will contact India and International Cricket Council (ICC). 

The delegation will review security arrangements on the venues which will host Pakistan. The decision on Pakistan's participation will be taken based on the security clearance. 

Pakistan is scheduled to participate in the World Cup in India later this year in October-November. 

They will play their first match against the Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad. The green shirts will meet arch-rivals India on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
